4 Wheel Heavy Duty

4 wheeled scooters are for mostly outdoor use. Heavy Duty scooters are considered the "SUVs of scooters". Heavy Duty scooters are big, comfy and can carry up to 325-500lbs in weight. A 4 wheel heavy duty scooter is built for outdoor use. Due to its size, a 4 wheel heavy duty scooter will probably not be manueverable enough for indoor use. If you are using your scooter for indoor use and do not have alot of room, consider a 3 wheel heavy duty scooter or a full size 3 wheel scooter. For more details, read our guide to mobility scooters

One of my favorite Heavy Duty scooters is the Dalton Navigator 4 Wheel Heavy Duty Mobility Scooter. Dalton Medical is based out of Dallas, Texas. While not the best known brand of mobility scooter, but they are a leading supplier of Medical Equipment.

Why do I like this scooter? It has a maximum capacity of 450 lbs and at the time I write this, it costs only $1,754 shipping included! It offers a 4 inch ground clearance and a battery range of 16 miles. You will look very hard to find a scooter which can carry so much much weight and yet cost so little. Most 4 wheel heavy duty scooter which carry over 400lbs currently cost over $2,000.
